Having a Good Hair Day

Hey guys! I'm back!

Exams are over and I am absolutely exhausted. Looks like I won't be getting too much rest. So many plans for the holidays already plus my shifts at work have increased. But better to be tired from having too much fun right?

Anyway just thought I would share with you my brand new toy, my GHD!

My sister bought me a GHD as a belated birthday present. I know right...what an awesome present =) She bought me the GHD Pretty in Pink Limited Edition Box Set. It is just so pretty! and the pinkness is so me! lol

It is so smooth and just glides through your hair. It is just amazing at curling. I'm actually finding it a tad difficult to control when curling at the moment since I had adopted a technique that required a lot of wrist twisting and effort that worked with my old straightener (Remington Wet2Straight) which gripped and pulled on your hair a lot. So it feels a bit odd and a little hard to adjust to the fact that I barely have to use any effort at all now with my GHD lol.

One thing I really wanted to talk about with GHDs was all those blogs, sites and videos telling you how to spot a fake. Many of these sources contradict each other and so are not very clear or reliable. All GHDs are made differently depending on what country they are intended to be sold at. My sister bought mine from a highly respected hair salon here in Australia and I had no problems with registering it at all. Mine did not have a couple of features that these sources mentioned that all "authentic" GHDs must have. Don't just read a review and immediately strike out yours as being a fake. The only way to be sure you are getting what you pay for is by either contacting GHD directly to check the seller or just buying it from a large and respected retailer.

Anyway that is enough of a rant from me tonight lol

  2. @ Manju: I wasn't crazy about my remington wet2straight but it definitely served me well for a very long time. Mine still works perfectly but the GHD has kind of kicked it aside lol I have heard some of Remington's other models are really really good. It's a very reliable brand =)
